Ellsworth in the Community

In the spirit of giving back to our Community, Ellsworth Corporation has adopted the following charities.  Ellsworth Corporation is a corporate sponsor and employees participate in fundraising events.

Angel’s Place – Angel’s Place is a hospice setting available to all seriously ill children in the entire Greater New Orleans Area.  Our contribution goes toward a permanent home for these children to spend their last days in peace with their parents and care providers.

Children’s Hospital – The Kids Fund provides help for patients and supports ongoing research underway in the hospital’s Research for Children.

I CAN Help, Inc. – This organization offers help to first-time drug offenders, giving them a chance at redemption.  Offenders who participate in the drug court program are enrolled in an extensive 18 month program supervised by a judge.  Substance abuse support groups, drug tests, and community service are mandatory for those enrolled.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Ellsworth is a Spotlight Sponsor for this year’s  Light the Night Walk.  This fundraiser is a night to pay tribute and bring hope to people battling cancer and to raise funds to continue cancer research.  On October 20th anyone participating will gather in different places across America and walk holding illuminated balloons (white for survivors and red for supporters).  The evening includes music, food, and family activities. 

New Heights - The New Heights Therapy Center is a unique equestrian program for people with disabilities.  Students are teamed with instructors, horses, and volunteers in therapeutic riding sessions designed to help those who are physically, cognitively or emotionally challenged to achieve an improved quality of life.  Ellsworth provides the insurance for the Garden Party Fundraiser each year, and this year we will also be a Diamond Sponsor.
